The name "Speaking of Ability" evolved from Susan's beliefs that all children have strengths and can learn, parents and children's voices are powerful, and there are times when parents need an effective advocate to make their voices be heard.
Susan understands that the special education process is complex and difficult for many parents to navigate. She seeks to support, educate, and empower parents to advocate for the educational programming required in order for their children to have equal access to education under the law.
